Phones and TV lost as rats chew cables

Homes and businesses in Willenhall lost their TV, phone lines and internet after rats gnawed through underground cables.

Virgin Media services went down in the WV12 postcode for more than 12 hours after the rodents damaged the lines.

The company said customers had experienced faults and apologised to those who lost their service temporarily on Monday due to the damage caused.
