Noel Edmonds gave a Black Country great-grandmother the shock of her life when he turned up at her social club – and revealed she was to be filmed live on Deal or No Deal.
Unsuspecting Betty Burns was at a dance class at the Royal British Legion club in Kingswinford when the television presenter crept up behind her.
The 78-year-old and her pals yesterday travelled down to Bristol on Monday for what was only the second in a new series of live shows.

She appeared on the hit programme yesterday – but despite having several chances at taking home thousands of pounds, she ended up with £250 after swapping her box with the banker's.
Edmonds turned up to surprise Betty last Monday. Mrs Burns, of Wordsley, was preparing for a weekly sequence dance group she helps run at the club in Summerhill, which is regularly attended by more than 30 members.
The mother-of-two, who has been married to husband Frank for 60 years, was getting the music ready for the session when Noel walked in through a back door.
He greeted her with the words "Are you Betty Burns who loves Deal Or No Deal?" to which she replied "I do". He then turned her around and she hugged him, before he asked her: "Would you like to be on the show?"
"Wouldn't I just?" she replied, before answering the question "deal or no deal?" with the famous response: "Deal."
Mrs Burns took along Frank and some of her friends to open the boxes in the studio – while a crowd was filmed watching the live show inside the club.
She declined offers from the banker of £7,000 and £10,000, before finally turning down £6,000 when she got down to the final two boxes, one containing £20,000 and the other containing £250. Betty, who was back at home today, said: "Somewhere up there I knew all along that I would have £250, so I'm not disappointed. I have loved every minute and no body can take this away from me."
