A suspected cocaine dealer who has been at large for nearly a year is being sought by detectives in the West Midlands, it emerged today.

Alan Hamilton, aged 27, was stopped by officers in Wynn Road, Penn, on October 23 last year but fled on foot after becoming aggressive.

Detectives say the vehicle he was stopped in contained large quantities of drugs.

Dc Andrew Jelfs, who is investigating the case, said: "Tackling drug crime is a top priority so we want to ensure that we find this man so that we can question him about the incident in October.

"I would ask anybody who may have information about Hamilton's whereabouts to get in touch with police as soon as possible."

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hamilton, of Jonesfield Crescent, Deansfield, should contact police on 0345 113 5000.
