The Australian star was taken by surprise when she received the watermelon with her face carved into it on a book signing visit to Birmingham.
Chef David Loh, who works at the Indian Dragon in Hednesford, was at the WH Smith store in Union Street yesterday with one of his intricately carved melons featuring the singer. Dannii was there to sign her new book Dannii, My Style.
Malaysian-born David, aged 52, plans to enter Britain's Got Talent. He spends his spare time creating art out of watermelons.
David, who came to the UK in 1990 is still working on his Licence to Thrill performance, which will involve him walking on stage playing the James Bond theme on an electric guitar before carving melons blindfolded.
