Bargain hunters were today heading to a car boot sale in South Staffordshire as politicians renewed calls for regulations to prevent traffic chaos.
Queues were building up around the site in Mill Lane, Saredon, from early this morning and there were more than 500 cars on the car park within three hours of the gates opening at 7am.
Organisers said up to 3,000 vehicles were expected.
But the popularity of the sales comes amid growing unrest among residents over congestion surrounding sites in Saredon, Featherstone, Essington, Cannock and Stafford.
