Two men escaped serious injury. A new report on the accident has failed to identify why the engine of the aircraft appeared to lose power over Lichfield as it headed for an airfield in Staffordshire in July.
The 58-year-old pilot, thought to be the owner Andrew Jones, of High Wycombe, escaped unhurt, although his passenger suffered minor injuries in the crash in Rykneld Street, Fradley, on Sunday, July 3.
