Leak-hit Brownhills road to be shut for days

A road in Brownhills where a water main burst flooding four homes looks set to be closed until at least Monday.

Pelsall Road was left under 12-18 inches of water after a pipe burst in the early hours of yesterday. The road was closed off, causing misery for drivers.

South Staffs Water said that while supplies were restored to 30 homes by early yesterday afternoon, the road looks set to be closed until next week.
