Pupils at Christ Church CofE Primary School, in Leamore, have been settling in to their new surroundings, already getting a big thumbs up from staff and pupils.
The futuristic ring of colourful classrooms, in Harden Road, is designed to make the best use of daylight and ventilation.
Classrooms are built around a central courtyard, while the school also boasts a main hall with separate stuido, dedicated ICT area and better parking.
Headteacher Ann Lowe said staff and pupils have now got the building they deserve.
"Everyone at Christ Church is really delighted to have this fantastic new school," she said.
