The sirens will be ringing out at Bantock House Museum as part of Heritage Open Days 2011.

Visitors will get the chance to sit and have their picture taken inside a 1940s room, typical of any household during that time.

On Sunday, September 11, 18 and 25, the room will be open, providing people with the opportunity to learn about a time much different from the one we live in today.

The 1940s room open days is free of charge and culminates with a 1940s dance at Bilston Town Hall on Saturday, September 24. Tickets for this cost £7.50, and are available from Bantock House.

Also running until November is The Part we Played, an exhibition looking at the war effort made by Wolverhampton factories including Beldray and Boulton Paul.
