Members of a long-running class in Walsall have been forced to say a tearful goodbye due to a lack of funding.

The aquarobics classes, which have been going for 20 years, were held twice a week at the Education Development Centre in Pelsall. But the last session was held yesterday after funding dried up.

The sessions were run by Manor Farm Community Association and the local area partnership, which comprises Walsall Council, Walsall Housing Group, NHS Walsall and other bodies.

The group used to run several swimming programmes from the former Manor Farm School and had been kept going with help from the council and NHS.

However, a permanent solution was never found and funding has now dried up.
