This image shows the moment a brazen yob jumped onto a police car while officers fought to bring the riots in Wolverhampton under control.
The video footage was posted on You Tube by a witness who filmed mobile phone footage of the hooded youth climbing on top of the car, which was parked on Lichfield Street during the disorder.
The vehicle, which did not contain any officers, was parked in the middle of the road next to the KFC fast food restaurant and the Mander Centre, as violence erupted across the Black Country last month.
West Midlands Police are now urging members of the public to help them identify the thug so they can bring him to justice.
Force spokesman Lee Page said: "There were two incidents during the riots where police cars were attacked.
"Those incidents form part of our ongoing operation to identify people who are wanted as part of the disorder.
"Anyone who has information about this person should contact police."
