A teenager has died after his motorcycle was involved in a horror crash with a car in Wolverhampton.

Paramedics tried desperately to save 18-year-old Mark Osborne following the smash, but he was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday night.

The crash happened on the junction of Fordhouse Road and Elston Hall Lane in Bushbury, Wolverhampton, just before 9.30pm on Saturday.

Two ambulances, an incident support officer and medics from the West Midlands Central Accident Resuscitation and Emergency Team were sent to the scene.

The 27-year-old driver of the car was arrested by police on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been released on bail pending further injuries.
