Motorbike rider killed in collision

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a car on a main road between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, the ambulance service said today.

The man, who has not been named, was declared dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics to save his life.

An ambulance, incident support officer and the air ambulance from Cosford were called to the A442 at Hampton Loade following the collision at 2.35pm yesterday.

An off-duty community first responder, who was passing at the time, also stopped to help.

The driver of the car was not believed to have been hurt.
