A casino in Wolverhampton will close with the loss of up to 46 jobs, under plans revealed today.

Bosses at Gala Casino are proposing to close the Whitmore Street business, in the city centre, because of 'trading difficulties'.

The company is aiming to relocate all of the venue's employees but redundancies have not be ruled out at this stage.

A six-week consultation has been launched to decide how and where to relocate staff and no closure date is yet known for the casino.
