This is the view inside a cannabis factory discovered by police during a crackdown on drugs in Kingswinford.

The haul of 500 plants was found by officers when they raided an empty factory unit, in Dawley Brook Road.

Mature cannabis plants, believed to be the third crop grown in the unit, were found behind a false wall in the building.

Large ventilation tubes and heating lamps were also discovered in the 30 sqft section to the rear of the premises.

A drying room for the plants had been set up ready to harvest the cannabis for sale on the streets.

Officers also found a small caravan wedged into the front of the building with evidence someone had been living inside in recent days.

No-one was found inside at the time of the raid yesterday evening.

Police are not linking the cannabis factory with any of the businesses based in the road.
