The stunning make-up artist is following hot on the stiletto heels of Danielle Lloyd in bringing some much-needed glamour to Wolverhampton.
And forget her husband's megabucks deal with Wolves– with her celebrity hairdresser already waiting in Wolverhampton to maintain her perfectly-groomed tresses, the model is already fast becoming the city's hottest new transfer.
The 27-year-old has vowed to cheer on her millionaire hubby Roger when he steps out for Wolves for every home game, after he signed for the club from Birmingham City.
And she told the Express & Star she can't wait for a chinwag in the stands with her fellow Wolves WAGs.
"I don't know how things will work at Wolves. At Birmingham the families were in separate boxes so it was very unsociable. It would be nice to get to know the wives and girlfriends here," she said.
"I think it's a really good move for Roger to Wolves.
"He could have held out for a bigger club. Lot's of people expected that. But I think it was the best move for him.
"He will play every game if he can and I will be watching every home game."
The pair live in Birmingham with daughter Brooke who is now two-and-a-half years old and have no plans to go closer to the Black Country.
"We are staying in Birmingham as it's been a nice move for us," said Melissa. "We didn't really want to uproot, especially with Brooke being so young.
"She is starting nursery in September and we are happy here."
Melissa isn't completely new to the city, as for the last two years she has been going to celebrity snipper Royston Blythe in Compton.
"I knew Wolverhampton better than Roger did," she says.
"I've been going to Royston Blythe and I've been to the salon in London.
"I don't really know the city centre that well though, so I'm looking forward to getting to know it more."
In 2007, Melissa released the fitness DVD WAGS Workout, with friends Nicola Tappenden and Lisa Munday, who were also dating footballers.
It branded itself as the "must have accessory for all girls wanting to achieve the look and style of a WAG.
"Yes it was a bit cheesy but it was a lot of fun to do," she says.
"It went into the top 10 in the DVD charts, although soon after it was in the bargain bin, but then a lot of DVDs are.I'm really keen on my fitness and I've just got myself a personal trainer."
Despite her good looks, Melissa claims she is not your stereotypical WAG.
"I've not got the fake nails or the fake tan," she said.
"I spend 24 hours a day running around after my little daughter.
"I try and keep myself to myself. I'm very much into looking after myself health wise and keeping fit."
Melissa is venturing back into the world of professional modelling after taking a break to bring up the most recent addition to the Johnson family. She has a number of photo shoots booked into her diary and is also looking to do some TV work.
Melissa has already tried her hand at acting, starring in TV show Footballers' Wives as a player's girlfriend.
She has also appeared on This Morning, Poor Little Rich Girls, Midsummer Murders, Dream Team and Test The Nation.
As well as all that, she is hoping to launch her own bikini range, a dream she puts down to growing up in a warmer climate than England.
Melissa was brought up in Tenerife in the Canary Islands. In 1993 she moved with her family to Bournemouth, where she finished off her schooling before moving to London to train at The Delamar Academy as a make-up artist.
She met £7 million rated defender Roger at school when she was just 10.
Melissa has been with Roger throughout his time at Wycombe, Cardiff City and Birmingham and the childhood sweethearts, eventually tied the knot in June 2007.
"Me and Roger have grown up together and I've seen him develop as a footballer," she said. "I can't wait for this new chapter to begin."
