Mr Motivator visited a Wolverhampton school to teach children how to keep fit using bouncers.

Mr Motivator, alias Derrick Evans, who became famous getting the nation into aerobics on GMTV, is launching a keep fit programme aimed at primary school age children called Bouncekids.

He led a session for the 350 pupils at Warstones Primary School in Warstones Road, Penn, yesterday.

Deputy head teacher at the school Lee Hawthorne said Mr Motivator, who is now 58, took over assembly and got the whole school involved. Carolyne Charles, spokeswoman for Bouncekids, said today: "It was absolutely brilliant – the children loved it.

"The kids were really encouraged and excited. They don't realise they are exercising, which is the whole idea. Mr Motivator devised the whole programme because of the issue of childhood obesity.

"It's about changing the kids' minds so that when they get to secondary school they will make the right choices about exercise ."
