A teenager has been missing from her Black Country home for four days, prompting an appeal from police to trace her whereabouts.

Charlotte Ford, aged 15, left her home in Oak Park Road, Wordsley, near Stourbridge, on Sunday afternoon and failed to return.

She told family she planned to meet a friend but she did not keep to the arrangement, say police.

Acting Inspector Jackie Madden, from Dudley Police, said: "We are very concerned for Charlotte's safety.

"A number of inquiries have been carried out and we have spoken with some of her friends and acquaintances but as yet we have failed to locate her.

"We urge people to contact police if they see her, or know of her whereabouts so we can confirm that she is safe and well."

She said Charlotte, who has a Welsh accent, may have visited the Bilston or Tipton areas in recent days.

Anyone with information can call officers at Brierley Hill on 0345 113 5000.
