The playing fields of a primary school were awash with hundreds of colourful umbrellas, without a drop of rain in sight.
Youngsters and staff at Leighswood Primary School, in Aldridge, took part in a world record attempt for the largest simultaneous umbrella dance.
A total of 570 pupils and teachers took part in the five minute dance in a bid to beat the current record of 492 people.
They danced a choreographed routine to pop star Rihanna's smash hit Umbrella.
Evidence has now been sent off to the Guinness Book of Records and pupils at the Broad Meadow school are anxiously awaiting the results.
