A man killed after burglary suspects crashed into his car in Sandwell was today named as Tauseef Shaukat.

The 24-year-old victim from Smethwick died in Sandwell Hospital on Monday after his Fiat Punto was hit by a Subaru Impreza, believed to have been used as a getaway car, in Churchbridge, Oldbury.

A burglary took place at the Co-op in Tame Road minutes before at 1am.

The occupants of the Subaru fled the scene, but two of them, aged 16 and 17, were arrested nearby on suspicion of burglary and causing death by dangerous driving.

They have been bailed until late July. Police are hunting a third man believed to have been travelling in the Subaru.

A family statement said: "Tauseef was a God's blessing to this world, a blessing of a beloved son and brother and a role model for his four younger brothers and his cousins.

His death has devastated his family and his fiancée who he loved dearly." Anyone with information call police on 0345 113 5000.
