A mother from the Black Country has been chosen to front a national advertising campaign which will see her face adorn billboards across the country.

Julie Poultney, aged 44, from Dudley, has been picked from thousands of women across the UK to star in a new Dove beauty campaign.

It will see her featured on a billboard on Stafford Street in Wolverhampton as well as other prominent sites across the UK.

She will appear alongside nine other women in the campaign who all entered a competition run by Dove and Asda supermarket. The winners were randomly selected after entering the competition in store or online and as part of their prize they were invited to take part in an all-expenses paid photoshoot in London with photographer Mark Curtis, and a pampering day.

The mother-of-two from Milking Bank, who has never modelled in her life before, said: "It has been a fantastic surprise because I didn't even enter, my husband Andy entered for me. It was an amazing experience, I loved it."
