Protesters opposing a wind farm in the shadow of a Midland landmark have days left to make their feelings heard before a planning appeal this summer.

Six 413ft turbines could stretch into the sky on the Bradford Estate near Weston Park under the plans.

The scheme was rejected by district councillors but developer Wind Prospect is challenging the decision.

The deadline for submissions to be considered by a government inspector is June 9 and the hearing will be held on July 27.

Members of South Staffordshire Council took the unusual step of praising protesters who opposed the wind farm when they threw it out in April.

Comments need to be sent to Emma Daniels, Room 3/22 Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Bristol, BS1 6PN.

The appeal will be heard at 10am on July 27, at the South Staffordshire Council offices in Wolverhampton Road, Codsall.
