A world-renowned organist from South Staffordshire today spoke of her excitement as she prepares to win the hearts of TV viewers on tonight's live semi-final of Britain's Got Talent.

Ex-music teacher Jean Martyn, from Brewood, is hoping to become the second act to book her place in Saturday's grand final of the hit show with her unique style of boogie woogie.

The grandmother-of-two, who played for the Queen in 2009 in a concert for war veterans at St James's Palace, made it through to the semi-finals on Sunday night after her bubbly performance of Great Balls of Fire brought the house down.

Speaking from London today as she headed to ITV's Fountain Studios in Wembley to rehearse for tonight, the 59-year-old told the Express & Star she was feeling the nerves.

"I'm getting a bit fluttery now," she said. "I'll be sticking to boogie woogie music and hope people in the West Midlands will get behind me.

"I'm sworn to secrecy about what I'll be playing but what I can say is it will be even better and more exciting than Sunday."
