Flower power flourished as staff at Kidderminster dressed to entertain. The three-day festival celebrated the decade and there was a host of displays and attractions.

Stylish 1960s vehicles lined up outside the Kidderminster station, Comberton Hill, at the main entrance. Cars, including a 1966 Wolseley Hornet brought by couple Graham and Jean Harper of Swynnerton, were polished and primed and on display.

Entertainment staff member Maria-Elena Ridgway, aged 19, helped out during the themed weekend. Retired engineer Tony Hunt and his wife Sarah, both 69, of Alvechurch, said they enjoyed the day. "It's really good and really nostalgic because I used to have a Morris Minor like the one on display here in the sixties," Mr Hunt said.

There were fashion shows and a market at the Bewdley station. The heritage railway, which has a 16-mile line between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, also hosted concerts featuring tribute bands to The Beatles, The Kinks and The Who.

The attraction is also holding 1940s themed weekends over the summer on June 25 and 26 and July 2 and 3. Cast members from the hit TV comedy series Allo Allo will be there throughout both weekends signing photographs for visitors.
