Parents cleared over daughter's death

An elderly father and mother who were arrested following the death of their daughter will not face any charges, it has emerged.

Samantha Hancox, aged 40, who suffered from obsessive compulsive disorder, was found slumped in an armchair in the Tipton home she shared with her parents Ken and Marion.

She had a crippling fear of germs that had left her virtually housebound for more than three decades.

A post mortem revealed that she had died from dehydration and a skin infection.

Following her death in May last year, her devastated parents were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and put on police bail.

Now, a year after her death, the case against the couple has been dropped due to a lack of evidence.
