A teenager who failed to bag her "Mr Right" on hit TV dating series Take Me Out says she is not giving up on love just yet.

Stacey Dixon lined up with 29 other women, vying for the attentions of four brave bachelors each week on the show which won TV fans' hearts for its catchphrase "no likey, no lighty".

But after leaving the series finale last Saturday without a date, the 19-year-old from Willenhall said she was far from disappointed and has even been on a few "friendly dates" following the programme.

Stacey, who runs Party Angels in Cannock Road, Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, said: "I need a nice gentleman in my life.

"Hopefully I'll find someone. I have been on a few friendly dates since the show finished filming in October but nothing has come of it."

Each week the show saw four willing men trying to impress the female contestants with hidden talents.

If the ladies did not like what they saw, they opted out of the running for a date by turning off their illuminated podium.

If all lights were turned off the men left empty-handed, otherwise they could pick a contestant they wanted to date on the "Isle of Fernando" — a fictional holiday resort in Spain.

Stacey, whose ideal man would be someone like musician Plan B, claimed she had no regrets.

"Obviously Mr Right wasn't there for me but I wasn't disappointed because it was a good experience, "she said.

"There were no hard feelings. It was amazing. All the girls were so lovely. We still keep in touch now. It's like we made friends for life."

The former Willenhall School Sports College pupil, who has been single for two years, said host, Phoenix Nights star and funnyman Paddy McGuinness helped put her at ease in front of an audience of around 600 for each recording, and was "just like a brother".
