This is the latest cannabis factory uncovered and shut down by police in Wolverhampton.
Officers discovered 23 plants at a house on Dunstall Road, Whitmore Reans, after being called out to reports of a burglary at 9.15pm last night.
They found three rooms packed with plants, insulated from floor-to-ceiling with silver foil and heated by lights suspended on pulleys.
One room included a filtering system designed to mask the pungent aroma of the growing buds, while another included a drying out system fashioned from a wardrobe space saver — each shelf lined with fully-grown buds cut from plants and ready for street sale.
There is also evidence of prior harvests.
A six-man cannabis team from West Midlands Police was this afternoon clearing the site after a forensic investigation this morning morning.
The team saves money and police time by clearing out buildings used as cannabis factories and bagging up the plants to be destroyed by police. No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
