Judges and magistrates in full ceremonial robes paraded through Wolverhampton during the city's annual celebration of justice.
They were joined by barristers, solicitors, court staff, police, prison guards and probation officers as they walked from the Civic Centre to St Peter's Collegiate Church in the city centre yesterday.
The annual service, which is said to stretch back to the 12th century, celebrates the administration of justice in the Black Country.
The High Sheriff of the County of the West Midlands, Mrs Anita Bhalla, OBE, did a special reading during the service.
She said: "It's my first time at this event which is incredibly important in the city.
"I love St Peter's Collegiate Church and the people of Wolverhampton have been incredibly warm since I took up this position."
