This was the scene at The Harrier pub in Tipton, after a gun was fired through the window.
Police officers and staff were in the pub in Powis Avenue when the shot was fired at 4.24am on Saturday.
A cordon was immediately erected around the car park at the front of the building. A bottle of vodka was smashed as the bullet came in through the window, as police officers quizzed staff about an earlier brawl.
The pub was sealed off on Saturday night while officers trawled the area for clues, although the cordon has now been lifted.
It was due to re-open today, but management at the pub declined to comment on what had happened.
Police say they do not believe there was an intended target and that they are continuing to investigate the motive. No-one was hurt in the shooting.
Anyone witnesses are asked to call the Sandwell and Dudley team of Force CID on 0345 1135000.
