A Bodybuilder was this afternoon found guilty of murdering a wedding reception guest in a night of violence in Bilston town centre.

Ricky Shaw faces life in jail for stabbing father-of-two Tom Berry as a crowd outside the Spread Eagle pub clashed wedding party-goers.

Shaw, aged 23, went to the pub after being told a group of girls were being attacked. The thug, who was on steroids, turned his anger on wedding guests at the town hall opposite.

Taunts were exchanged and 34-year-old plasterer Mr Berry went into the street with cousin Stephen Howell and brother Stuart Berry.

Fighting broke out and Stephen Howell was stabbed seven times and left with a punctured lung and other injuries.

Mr Berry, of Bradley, was knifed twice, with one wound cutting a track past the heart into the liver.

He collapsed and died in New Cross Hospital within hours in July last year.

Shaw also knifed Talvinder Singh, leaving him with a punctured lung and other injuries, and his own step-brother Adam Shaw, who was stabbed in the left thigh.

Shaw, of no fixed address, was arrested in Willenhall five days later after a major manhunt.

He was this afternoon found guilty of murdering Mr Berry, attempting to murder Stephen Howell and assaulting Adam Shaw. He was cleared of attempting to murder Talvinder Singh but found guilty of wounding him.
