She had claimed a string of beauty titles before turning to a successful career as a forensic psychologist.
The Walsall-born former Aldridge Community School pupil was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September and bravely endured two operations and three months of chemotherapy before her death.
Her father Mark, who lives with Trudy's mother Sue in Rugeley, said today: "We are all devastated because it happened so quickly. When she found out what the problem was she just got on with it."
