This is the terrifying moment a robber thrust a loaded handgun at a Wolverhampton bookmaker and asked: "Do you want to die?"

Teenager Daniel Sedgwick points the weapon at William Hill assistant manager Shaun Featonby as he forces him to hand over cash.

The 19-year-old, once a promising footballer at Albion's academy, paces nervously in front of the counter as he shouts threats at Mr Featonby.

This afternoon he, his lookout who waited in the Penn Road betting shop's doorway and their getaway driver were facing years behind bars after being found guilty of armed robbery.

A jury at Wolverhampton Crown Court took three-and-a-half hours to convict the trio. The pair burst into the shop at around 8.40pm on August 4 last year.

Sedgwick rushed up to the counter, past pub landlord Bill Reece who was watching greyhound racing on the shops TVs.

Dramatic footage obtained by the Express & Star today shows Sedgwick shove the gun through the gap above the counter.

Mr Featonby keeps calm as he reaches below the counter and pulls out a bundle of cash.

Angry Sedgwick keeps the gun aimed at Mr Featonby's chest as he demands more money and asks: "Do you want to get shot? You better give me the money."

Accomplice Cameron Wilkinson echoes the threats made by Sedgwick as Mr Reece looks nervously around the shop.

The pair flee, with Sedgwick dropping cash as they run down Penn Road and into a getaway car driven by Ryan Graham.

But a member of the public took down the car's registration and police arrested the gang in the car nearby just 15 minutes after the raid.

Sedgwick, of Rutland Avenue, Warstones, Graham, 19, of Hamble Road, Warstones, and lookout Cameron Wilkinson, 18, of Myrtle Grove, Penn, were convicted today of robbery and firearms charges.
