A road in Wolverhampton was briefly closed today after a car crashed into a wall following a collision with a minibus.

Police were called to School Road, Tettenhall, at 6.38am after a Renault Clio collided with a blue Maxi minibus. The road was closed briefly while fire crews cleared the debris but re-opened within minutes. Ambulance crews were first to arrive at the scene, where the male minibus driver declared he was unhurt.

He left before police arrived. The driver of the Clio was not found at the incident and police are now trying to find both drivers.

West Midlands Police spokeswoman Aneka Anderson said: "The driver of the minibus stated he was fine and made off on foot.

"The drivers of the Clio were no where to be seen so officers are trying to contact the drivers of both vehicles."

A woman was also cut out of her car after a crash on the A451 Bridge Street in Stourport at 7am today.
