A mother-of-two has been shortlisted for slimmer of the year after shedding a whopping seven stone.
Nadine Harvey, aged 28, of Glenthorne Drive, Cheslyn Hay, spent years trying various dieting techniques before she found the right diet for her and since then she has not looked back.
Mrs Harvey started putting on the weight after the birth of her two children Kayleigh-Ann, now eight, and Courtney-Jo, two.
After seeing that she weighed 18st 8lbs, the part-time cleaner knew it was time to take serious action. In February last year, Mrs Harvey discovered The Cambridge Weight Plan. The diet requires people to pay strict attention to their daily calorie intake.
Since then, Mrs Harvey has gone from a size 24 to a 14 after putting a stop to chocolate, takeaways and cheese sandwiches.
She was so impressed by the diet, she now acts as an ambassador for it.
Mrs Harvey said of her diet: "I haven't found it that hard. I can say no now. I know when I'm full now."
"Before starting the diet I'd regularly binge on chocolate bars, scoffing at least three a day.
"For breakfast I would eat cheese and beans on white toast, then later have a sandwich also loaded with cheese.
''For my dinner I would get stuck into takeaways, either pie and chips, or a kebab."
Mrs Harvey found July the hardest when young Kayleigh-Ann injured her back in a PE accident at school. Her daughter spent two weeks in hospital but is now recovering well.
"I thought the trauma of it all might have made me eat, but I got through it."
Now Mrs Harvey is delighted she is full of energy again to play with her two daughters after trying various diets which never worked out for her.
The super slimmer is now one of 60 people in the UK to make it through to the final stages of Slimmer of the Year.
