The latest design changes to Lichfield's planned £100 million Friarsgate scheme will go on show to the public at an information event.

Developers S. Harrison Developments Ltd and Lichfield District Council are holding a two-day mini exhibition at Lichfield Heritage Centre, Market Square, on January 14 and 15, where they will show new drawings of the scheme.

The event will also be an opportunity for people to give their comments on the revised plans for the Birmingham Road site.

Harrison's development director, David Clancy, said: "We have been looking at the scheme to ensure that, in changing market conditions, it continues to best meet the city's requirements."

Changes include improvements to the car park layout to make it more user friendly, a reduction in the number of larger retail units to accommodate more stores, and changes to the shape and form of the proposed hotel.

No date has yet been fixed for work to start on site.

The information event is taking place on Friday January 14 from 10.30am to 5pm and Saturday January 15 from 10am to 2pm.
