Rolf Harris was in Birmingham today - and he brought his didgeridoo along with him.

The veteran TV favourite and artist was in the city to promote his performance in the forthcoming Christmas show Rock With Laughter.

The Australian icon treated onlookers at Symphony Hall to a performance of Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.

He also met school pupils from Leigh Junior School in Washwood Heath, Birmingham,and taught them how to play the didgeridoo and his infamous wobble board.

The 80-year-old, who was wearing an eccentric bright pink jacket and pink shirt, said he was looking forward to the show. "It's great to be back here. I have had some really exciting times here," he said.

Rock with Laughter is on the LG Arena stage on December 10 and 11 hosted by Lenny Henry. It will include performances by Beverley Knight and Alan Carr. Tickets are priced from £22.50 call 0844 338 8000.
