TV cooks David Myers and Simon King were the star attraction at an event in which they made a grand entrance at the head of a cavalcade of motorcycles.
They then did their best to brighten up the show as bad weather hampered the final day of the Stone Food and Drink Festival in Staffordshire yesterday. More than 350 people crowded in to the cooking demonstration tent for a mixture of food talk and comedy. The two men made a variety of dishes during two separate hour long live shows.
The Hairy Bikers had the audiences regularly laughing out loud with insights into secrets of the cooking world, such as: "The tip is, if you burn it - just call it Cajun."
The biking enthusiasts were there promoting their latest book The Hairy Bikers' Food Tour of Britain.
The BBC stars made a grand entrance to the three day festival on Sunday as they headed a cavalcade of motorcyclists as they arrived at Westbridge Park. Dozens of members of the North Staffordshire branch of the Moto Guzzi Club followed Si and Dave from the Three Crowns, in Lichfield Road.
The Mayor of Stone, councillor Rob Kenney, opened the festival on Friday.
In the Gourmet Food Marque, every type of food and drink and imaginable was available for the public to sample or buy.
Many people crammed in to the Titanic Brewery Tent for a drink to try escape the heavy rain and slippery mud underfoot.
