One of them wanted to be a footballer, the other was keen to be a musician - but best friends Jan Coulston and Kristian Bayliss have ended up in a very different career.

Swedish born Jan was offered a football scholarship with Shrewsbury Town after leaving school but the club chose not to take him on.

Musician Kristian set up a four-piece band called JJK when he was 15 and was lead singer and bass player touring the country and supporting bands like The Damned.

After the band failed to get its big break members went their separate ways.

Both were offered places at university on fashion courses with Jan securing a place at South Bank University and Kristian a place at the London College of Fashion.

But their entrepreneurial desires took over and they turned down their places.

Now the pair who are former pupils at The Summerhill School in Kingswinford have launched One1 Occasion where they sell dresses for prom nights.

They launched the shop three months ago and say that business is booming.

Video journalist Cathy Spencer went along tomeet the pair and to find out more about their success.
