Two major shows in the West Midlands were today cancelled.

A variety show featuring Paul Daniels, Christopher Biggins and The Krankies in Wolverhampton this weekend has been called off.

Sunday night's Best of British Variety Tour was to be staged at the Civic Hall but it emerged just days ago that it had been moved from the 2,215-seater Civic to the 670-seater Wulfrun Hall.

The show, also due to feature The Grumbleweeds, Syd Little, and Dana, is part of a national tour.

Meanwhile, waltz aficionado André Rieu has postponsed a UK land tour citing ill health.

The tour was due to start tomorrow at London's O2 Arena before heading to Birmingham's LG Arena on Thursday.
