Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre sign plan

Wolverhampton's Grand Theatre will see its name in lights under plans to pull in more visitors revealed today.

The 12-year-old gold sign above the main doors of listed building in Lichfield Street is set to be replaced with an illuminated version.

Theatre spokeswoman Vicky Price said: "It will be more eye-catching and attract more people to the theatre."

A planning application has been sent to the city council.
