Cyclist hurt as BMW crashes in Bilston

A driver and cyclist were taken to hospital after an accident which shut part of the Black Country Route on Saturday evening.

The BMW overturned and ended up on its roof near the Oxford Street Island at Bilston.

The woman driver had only minor injuries but the cyclist, a man in his 50s, had a head injury and broken leg.

He was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
