Shake-up of Walsall bin rounds

Thousands of families in Walsall face changes in their bin collections under a shake-up announced today.

Five new zones have been created for binmen to carry out their rounds, meaning some households will have their rubbish picked up on different days.

The zones are Brownhills, Shelfield, Rushall and Pelsall; Walsall Wood, Aldridge, Streetly, Pheasey and Park Hall; Fulbrook, Caldmore, Birchills, Chuckery, The Butts and part of Leamore; Bloxwich, part of Leamore and parts of Willenhall; Bentley, Darlaston and parts of Willenhall.

Calendars will be delivered to families detailing changes, which come into force on October 4.
