Yobs have targeted the same cars in two streets by spraying them with paint and slashing their tyres - for the second time in a month.

Seven cars along Hambledon Close and Emsworth Crescent in Pendeford, Wolverhampton, had black paint sprawled along doors, bonnets and even registration plates.

Some of the vehicles, which were also damaged in the previous attack, had their tyres slashed. The front of a house on Emsworth Crescent was also sprayed with paint.

The Express & Star reported on July 27 about a hooded vandal who was caught on CCTV slashing tyres of up to 10 cars during a wrecking spree in the same two streets.

Angry residents say they are sick of the car vandals.

Hannah Wells, who lives in Emsworth Crescent, had her car sprayed with black paint and three tyres slashed as it sat on her drive.

The 31-year-old school administrator said: "I can't believe this has happened again. I've had three tyres slashed and paint sprayed across my registration plate.

"They did the same thing last month. The paint won't come off and I'm going to have to buy new tyres which could cost me about £200."

Learner driver and Wolverhampton College student Christine Pugh, aged 18, who had her tyres cut last time woke up to find the same had happened again.

Miss Pugh, of Hambledon Close, said: "I think it's the same person doing this every time.

"They are targeting the same cars."

Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened between 9.30pm on Thursday night and 3.30am on Friday morning.

Sergeant Mark Platt, from Oxley neighbourhood policing team, added: "It is not known why a further series of incidents have occurred in these two streets only a month after they were targeted.

"We are increasing patrols in the area in a bid to re-assure residents as well as prevent further incidents."

Officers are currently trawling through CCTV footage and carrying out house to house enquiries in an attempt to catch whoever is responsible.

Anyone with any information should call Wolverhampton Police on 0345 1135000.
