A top plastic surgeon cleared by a court of indecent assault will face a five-week disciplinary hearing over the allegations, it emerged today.

Aivar Bracka will appear before the General Medical Council in Manchester on September 1. The hearing is not expected to conclude until October 7.

Mr Bracka, of Balmoral Road, Wordsley, has been suspended from work pending the hearing.

The GMC has outlined the allegations Mr Bracka is facing in a report published on its website.

The report states: "It is alleged that Mr Bracka, a plastic surgeon, engaged in sexually motivated acts during a series of consultations with six teenage male patients, which were improper and inappropriate.

"It is also alleged that one of the patients made a complaint to his GP about the sexually inappropriate behaviour. Despite being warned by his colleague that he should modify his practise, it is alleged that Mr Bracka continued to make sexual advances to patients under his care."

Mr Bracka, who specialises in corrective surgery for genital deformity, was last year found not guilty of six counts of indecent assault on five patients at the former Wordsley Hospital.

He was cleared following a five-week trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

Mr Bracka was allowed to return to work at Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital on March 6 last year but was suspended a month later. In June, the GMC confirmed Mr Bracka had been suspended from the medical register.
