Friends and family of a Black Country man accused of murdering his girlfriend in Greece today presented an 11,000-strong petition to Prime Minister David Cameron's office at Downing Street.
The 800-page document is calling for Luke Walker's release on bail.
The 22-year-old, from Brierley Hill, remains in prison in Crete accused of beating girlfriend Chelsea Hyndman to death. A bail application has been lodged on the basis of a lack of evidence and a hearing is expected this week.
A delegation led by his father Patrick, sister Lisa Brigdale and her husband Wayne, backed by Stourbridge Tory MP Margot James were at Number 10.
They were also joined by cousins Daniella Walker, Debbie Rides and family friend Karen McBride, all of whom have been actively involved in raising the funds to help with the Walker family's legal costs.
Mr Walker said he hoped to try to arrange a meeting with Mr Cameron or Foreign Secretary William Hague about his son's case in the future.
Mr Walker said: "Every time the phone rings the stomach is churning.
"It is tough. It is a really hard time for us, financially and emotionally.
"Luke's mother Lindy and my eldest son Ryan have been out there for 12 weeks now. She sees him Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. It is getting harder and harder to keep his spirits up now.
"We have pushed for bail through the channels available to us. We now need somebody to put pressure on the Greek authorities to release the documents we are short of - vital photographs and papers promised by the Greek courts that we have still not had."
"We just need something to happen with the situation - somebody to listen," added Mrs Brigdale.
Miss Hyndman, 20, from Castleford, Yorkshire, died in hospital in the holiday destination of Malia in May. Walker claims she suffered her injuries when she fell on a beer glass during a girls' night out.
