A man was airlifted to hospital with multiple injuries after he was hit by a lorry on the M5 through the Black Country today, causing tailbacks of up to 10 miles.

A man was airlifted to hospital with multiple injuries after he was hit by a lorry on the M5 through the Black Country today, causing tailbacks of up to 10 miles.
It happened near the exit slip road for junction three southbound at Halesowen at 7.30am.
Both sides of the motorway were shut.
The northbound section reopened by 8.15am. But only one southbound lane between junction two at Oldbury and three was reopened by 9.40am.
