Kingswinford man dies after coach fall in Torquay

A 79-year-old man from Kingswinford has died in hospital after falling down the stairs of a coach as it arrived in Torquay.

The man and his wife were arriving for a five-day break int he Devon resort when the incident happened on Monday night.

He fell when the 49-seat coach was reversing at the Water's Edge Hotel in Torbay Road.

The man was treated by a first aid-trained driver and then paramedics before being taken to Torbay Hospital where he died.
