One man has died after being stabbed and two others are recovering in hospital following a fracas in Bilston town centre.

The 34-year-old man from the town was stabbed outside the The Spread Eagle pub in Lichfield Street on Saturday night.

Two other men, whose ages are unknown, were also stabbed and are both said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

It is believed a fight broke out between two groups outside the pub and that the dead man and the injured pair were guests at a wedding reception across the road at the town hall.

Witnesses at the wedding said one of the men rushed into the hall with blood pouring from his neck.

Four men were arrested at the scene and are currently helping police with their inquiries.
