A police investigation has been launched after a body was discovered at a house in Staffordshire.
A police investigation has been launched after a body was discovered at a house in Staffordshire.
Officers were called to a report of suspicious activity at a house in Meadway Street, Chasetown, shortly after 8.30am yesterday.
Inside they found the body of a man, who is believed to have lived at the address.
He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
Part of Meadway Street, including the house, was cordoned off while Scene of Crime Officers and detectives carry out inquiries.
A post mortem has yet to take place, but officers are treating the death as suspicious.
High-visibility police patrols are in the area to offer reassurance to local residents.
