This lively litter has been saved from an uncertain future after being discovered dumped on wasteland. A passer-by saw the six Lurcher puppies roaming free in the Dudley area.

They were taken to Newcombe and East vets in Brownhills which is now appealing for people to come forward and give them a new home.

They've been named Ife, Coria, Keava, Josie, Ben and Nathan, after some of this year's Big Brother contestants.

Petra Phillips-Hall, a veterinary nurse at the Warren House Farm practice, said: "When they were brought in they were so skinny and riddled with worms, but we have fed them up with scrambled eggs.

"We have all become really attached to them, they are cheeky and follow us around the farm. We all just really want them to go to really nice homes."

The dogs, who are about eight weeks old, have now been fully vaccinated and wormed. New owners will get a voucher entitling them to a reduced price neutering.

Anyone interested in rehoming them can call 01543 373033 beteween 8.30am and 6.30pm on weekdays.
